The Belonging Chain is a framework developed by Jóhanna Birna Bjartmarsdóttir, founder of HARTS, building on school-connectedness research. It describes, link by link, how inaccessible environments erode belonging for neurodivergent students, and how environments designed for inclusion rebuild it.

The full framework, with each link of the chain and the research behind it, is being prepared for publication here.
